When judging the authenticity of a linear motion ground ball screw, a dial indicator can be used to detect both ends and the center of the ball screw on a horizontal platform. If the runout within 300mm is within 0.02mm and the accuracy reaches the C3 level, the Precision Ball Screw assembly generally has no problem. In this case, you should check whether the coaxiality of the equipment is properly adjusted; otherwise, it may be a problem with the ball screw itself. In addition, the C3 level belongs to the precision ground ball screw. When purchasing, you need to pay attention to avoid mistakenly buying a cold-Rolled Ball Screw with lower accuracy.

When selecting a ball screw, first determine the accuracy grade, and then clarify the load, motor speed, and travel distance. After these parameters are determined, the diameter model of the linear ball screw kit can be determined. Then determine the preload. The preload of a precision ground ball screw is generally P2 (light preload without clearance) or P3 (medium preload), but the preload value is difficult to detect by an instrument.
